About Mary Baldwin
For nearly two centuries, ¶¶Òõ has evolved through a spirit of bold innovation — continually reimagining how education is delivered and who it serves. Today, that legacy lives on.

Our History
Founded in 1842 as Augusta Female Seminary, ¶¶Òõ has grown and transformed through nearly two centuries of change — from a small school for women to a dynamic, modern co-ed university.
Along the way, we’ve pioneered educational fields like lifelong learning, theatrical performance, military leadership, health sciences, and so much more!
