The Graduate Certificate in Business Studies is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in postgraduate business courses. You'll cultivate your skills in critical thinking and analysis, reflective practice and professional presentation, as well as develop a knowledge base of contemporary business theory and practices around marketing, accounting and organisational management.

The Graduate Certificate in Business Studies is a 4‐unit course, offered full-time and part-time.

This course is not accepting enrolments for semester 2, 2025.

    Course structure

    Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Business Studies requires 4 compulsory units (50 credit points).

    Entry requirements

    For admission to this course you need either:

    1) A completed Australian Advanced Diploma or above, or approved equivalent#; OR

    2) at least two years' management experience*.

    You must provide evidence to support your eligibility for the degree, in particular a copy of your CV showing your work experience, and letters of reference from line managers or similar to confirm the work experience meets the minimum level for entry.

    #approved equivalent from any overseas institution as assessed by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR).

    *minimum management experience in this case is defined as supervisory, team leader or business manager experience. In the case of applicants who have worked as a sole trader or consultant, additional evidence to support the level of experience must be provided.

    Options for this course

    This is a full-fee course, which means you’ll need to pay the full amount for your studies. Commonwealth Supported Places are not available in this course. However, there are still support options available for eligible students to help you manage the cost of studying this course.

    You may be able to fund all or part of your tuition fees by accessing a FEE-HELP loan from the Australian Government. FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists domestic full-fee students to pay for University, which is repaid through the Australian Tax System once you earn above a repayment threshold. This means you’ll only have to start repaying the loan once you start earning above a specific amount.
